    The Institute for Nonprofit Practice has created a new initiative to support all nonprofits to have access to the award winning Leadership Program, that has graduated 19 Island nonprofits.

    Applications are due on June 12th. More information for the Core Certificate Program is at http://www.nonprofitpractice.org/apply.

    The Tomorrow Fund, a movement to help nonprofit and community leaders, especially leaders of color, rebuild, reimagine, and restore as they navigate the monumental challenges that lie ahead.

    With the support of generous donors who believe in the power and potential of nonprofit leaders, we have reached the first milestone of The Tomorrow Fund: We will, for the first time in our history, waive tuition for every student in the class of 2021.

    The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions will apply from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.

    The Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard has launched the Emergency Response Fund in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to address urgent needs that face Islanders and their families.  The Emergency Fund seeks to shore up the invaluable role of Island non-profits when crisis hits, whether it’s today’s public health emergency or future crisis facing the Vineyard from natural disasters to financial.  The fund is immediately established with $25,000 from existing sources with the hope and expectation that donors will build upon that modest base.

    Applications now open for the 2020/2021 class of The Institute for Nonprofit Practice (INP) Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.

    This intensive 8-month program from INP is part of Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University.

    Designed to give you the tools to build your organization’s effectiveness innovation, and sustainability, INP is made accessible by the MVNC and local funders through scholarships and locally held classes.

    Leaders representing all nonprofit sectors from 19 different organizations have participated in and benefited from the Vineyard program to date.
